The Vegg (mini review)

UPDATE BELOW!

One of the only things I miss since becoming vegan is eggs!  I used to miss cheese, but I got over that pretty fast.  But I still miss sunny side up, over easy, hole in one eggs!  When I heard of the new product "The Vegg" I was really excited to try it!  Unfortunately it's only available online, and shipping is as much or more than the product.  I thought about it for a few days, then decided to splurge and order it.  Well it arrived today and it was worth the extra shipping for sure!  Although I may just wait for it to come to stores before I buy it next time.  The package is pretty small so there is no reason why it should cost more than $2-3 to ship.

Anyway I tried to make a hole in one (bread with a hole cut in the middle with an egg cooked inside) and it didn't work out very well... I don't know if I did something wrong or it just didn't work.  Who knows, I haven't cooked an egg in years, maybe I just forgot how.  Anyway so I decided to just make some toast, mix some Vegg, warm it up and pour it on my toast.  It was almost exactly like egg yolk!  It was delicious!

FYI the package only gives you the mixture to make the whole package at once, but the website gives you the smaller portion mixture.  (1 tsp. of Vegg mixed with 1/4 C of water)

Check it out!

Update:  I made the same style of Vegg this morning, but I made it with 4 tsp. Vegg + 1 C Water, then I mixed it for 30 seconds in my little blender. Last time I just whisked it together and as you can see above it mixed, but could possibly be mixed more.  So anyway, the blender made it thick and creamier and mixed a lot better.  Either way it pretty much tastes the same, but I am always going to mix it this way from now on.  What I didn't use for breakfast I just saved in the fridge.  I have a feeling I'm going to be making this a lot!

I can't wait to try this. Thanks for all the heads ups so I have an idea what to expect. I pray this product reaches stores sooner than later.

How did you warm it?

I am staring at this in my cart at vegan essentials and trying to decide if only two packages will be enough...
